# Creating manual transactions

Do you have an [Offline Account](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/create-offline-accounts-u7c11r/) you want to add transactions to? Follow the steps below to find out how. You can create both incoming and outgoing transactions. 

To create a manual transaction to an Offline Account, follow the steps below: 


### Creating a manual transaction

1. Select the offline account you would like to add a transaction to from your list of accounts at the top of Emma **Feed** tab
2. Select **Add transaction** at the bottom of the account screen
3. Fill in the transaction amount; you can swap between *Income* (credit) and *Expense* (debit) type of transactions
4. Fill in the transaction reference and press **Continue**
5. Select the transaction category
6. Select the transaction date 
7. Press **Continue**

Once created, you should see the manual transaction in your account's transaction list, and in Transactions and Analytics if applicable.
