# How do I mark a bank account as closed?

If you have an account in Emma that is now closed, but you want to keep your transaction data, you can mark it as closed.

The account will remain connected and you will not be asked to renew the connection when it expires. 

###### Closing an account

1. Go to **Feed** tab
2. Locate and select the account you'd like to hide in either **Everyday**, **Savings** or **Investments** sections at the top of the **Feed** tab
3. Select the cog in the top right-hand corner of the Account screen 
4. Tap **Marked as closed**

###### Re-open a closed account

1. Go to **Feed** tab
2. Click on either **Everyday**, **Savings** or **Investments** sections at the top of the **Feed** tab, depending on the type of account you'd like to re-open
3. Tap on **Closed ** to view closed accounts, and select the account you'd like to re-open
4. Select the cog in the top right-hand corner of the Account screen 
5. Click **Mark as open**
