# How do I sell shares?

| Emma Invest is only available to UK-based customers.

To sell shares through Emma Invest, please follow these steps

1. Go to the **Invest** tab
2. Select the account you want to sell shares from
3. Scroll down to your **Investments**
4. Select the investment and tap on **Sell**
5. The default sell option will be a [market order](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/what-are-market-orders-16nzpe2/)
6. Enter an amount then tap **Review Order**
7. Review the order details and if everything is correct, tap on **Confirm**
