# Is Emma Invest safe?

| Emma Invest is only available to UK-based customers.

When you open an Emma Invest account, your investments are held with **Seccl Custody Ltd**, a trusted third-party custodian authorised and regulated by the **Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)**.

Seccl securely holds your investments and cash in **segregated client accounts**, which means they are kept separate from Emma’s own funds.

This structure ensures that your assets remain protected and are not used for Emma’s business activities.

In the unlikely event that Seccl were to fail, eligible customers may be protected by the **Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)**. The FSCS can compensate eligible investment claims up to **£120,000 per person, per firm**, subject to FSCS rules.
