# Rename a transaction

You may need to rename a transaction if the transaction name provided by your bank isn't quite right.

To rename a transaction, follow the steps below:


### Renaming a transaction

1. Go to Emma **Feed** tab
2. Go to the **Recent transactions** section and click **See All**
3. Select the transaction you'd like to rename from your transactions list - you can use the **search icon** in the top right corner of the screen to help you locate it 
4. Click the **Rename** button in the top right corner of the transaction screen 
5. Make your desired changes and click **Save this name**
6. Click **Apply edit to 1 transaction**


### Renaming multiple transactions

1. Select the transaction you'd like to rename from your transactions list
2. Click the **Rename** button in the top right corner of the transaction screen 
3. Make your desired changes and click **Save this name**
4. Select all transactions you'd like to apply the changes to from the **Similar transactions** list 
5. Click **Apply edit to X transactions**
