# Search for a transaction

You can use the transaction search to find individual or multiple transactions, based on a variety of factors.

When on the **Feed** tap **See all** next to **Transactions** to view all your transactions. This will bring up the **Transaction search** at the top of your screen.

When you tap in the search bar, several icons will appear above your keyboard. These will allow you to filter your transactions - you can combine the filters to find just what you're looking for!

 Choose the **Light Bulb** icon to filter by category. This includes the default categories and any [custom categories](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/create-edit-and-delete-custom-categories-umylhf/) that you may have set up.

Choose the **Store **icon to filter by merchant.

 Choose the **Tag** to filter by the tags you've added to transactions. You can select multiple tags at once.

Choose the **Less Than** icon to only show transactions less than the value that you enter.

Choose the **More Than** icon to only show transactions more than the value that you enter.

 Choose the **Calendar** to show transactions from within a certain period. You may need to get in touch with us if you can't see some of your [historical transaction](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/i-cant-see-historical-transaction-data-9krxhm/) data.

Choose the **Paperclip** to show only transactions that have a receipt attached. You can follow the instructions [here](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/add-or-remove-receipts-2m57ps/) if you need to add or remove receipts.

Choose the **Bank** icon to select which bank accounts you're searching in. You can also choose your Offline Accounts here to find your [manually added transactions](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/creating-manual-transactions-mv5cts/).
