# Set-up category budgets

| Setting a category budget tells Emma how much you want to spend in a particular transaction category over a period of time. 

To set up your category budgets, follow the steps below: 

1. Go to the **Feed** tab
2. Scroll down and select **Budgeting** (circle chart)
3. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen 
4. Select **Edit Budget**
5. Select **Category Budgets**
6. Select which category you'd like to create a budget for 
7. Make the desired changes and select **Done**
8. Select **Save**.
