# What Are Meaningful Dates?

| Emma Pots are only available to UK-based customers


**Meaningful Dates** are the specific date range you must input when generating either an Emma Wallet Statement or an Interest Pots Statement within the app. These dates determine the period of activity displayed in your statement.

### Purpose of Meaningful Dates

We use *Meaningful Dates* to generate personalised and accurate financial statements. By selecting a date range, you specify the period of transactions or account activity you are interested in.

### Date Range Limitations

There are a few limitations to consider:

* The **end date cannot be in the future.**
* The start date must be **before or equal** **to** the end date.
