# Why can't I make a payment on the Pay tab?

Emma enables you to use the power of Open Banking to make transfers between accounts and to other people, straight from Emma!

For your security, this feature is not available right away when you first sign up to Emma.

This is unlocked by our system after some consistent usage; we know it's hard to be patient, but the full power of Emma will be at your fingertips soon 🚀
