# Why is my Pot interest rate different?

| Emma Pots are only available to UK-based customers.

###### How the Bank of England base rate affects my Pot rate

Our interest-generating Emma Pots, the Easy Access and 45 Day Notice Pots, have a variable interest rate. They're base rate trackers, meaning they track the base rate of interest set by the Bank of England.

When the Bank of England changes the base rate, our partner bank changes the Pot rates to reflect this. You can view the current rate in the app when viewing your Pot.

###### New Pots

You may be on an older version of our Emma Save Pots. Check your rate in the app against the rates listed in [Do the Emma Pots generate interest?](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/do-the-emma-pots-generate-interest-85dka1/) in our help centre.

If you're on an older Pot, [open a new Pot](https://help.emma-app.com/en/article/create-a-pot-1w4tdhy/) to get the most up-to-date rate. You can then transfer your savings over to the new Pot if you'd like to.
