Does Emma have any impact on my Credit Score?

Using Emma will not have any impact on your Credit Score.

If you sign up for Invest or Save, we only use a generic identification check to confirm your identity (this might show on your Experian account, but has no impact on your score).

For the loans feature, Monevo, our partner and credit broker, runs a soft search which does not impact your Credit Score and it is not seen by other lenders.

If you were looking for ways to improve your credit position, we have a Rent Reporting feature which can help you to build a higher credit position with our linked credit referencing agencies! This can have a positive impact on your position and overall creditworthiness.

Your credit position is based on several different factors and Rent Reporting alone does not guarantee that your credit position will improve. Equally, if you miss a rent payment while reporting your rent with us, this will be reflected on your file. This should not affect your credit score, but does impact your wider credit history.

If you are going to stop renting, or plan to stop subscribing to a paid Emma plan, please ensure you notify us - How do I stop or cancel Rent Reporting?
