Create, edit and delete custom categories

Custom categories let you sort your transactions in a way that suits you, alongside Emma's default categories. You can set budgets for them, and Emma learns from your edits, so new transactions are sorted into them automatically.

How do I create a custom category?

1. Tap a transaction.
2. Tap its category.
3. Tap Add new.
4. Enter a name, choose an emoji and pick a colour.
5. Optionally, link it to a parent category.
6. Tap Create category.

How do I edit a custom category?

1. Tap a transaction, then tap its category.
2. Press and hold the custom category you want to change.
3. Tap Edit category.
4. Change the name, emoji or colour, then tap Save.

How do I delete a custom category?

1. Tap a transaction, then tap its category.
2. Press and hold the custom category you want to delete.
3. Tap Delete category.
4. Tap Yes, let me delete.
