Which UK banks and providers can I connect to Emma?
Emma connects to most UK banks, building societies, credit card providers and e-money accounts through Open Banking, as well as some investment, pension and crypto providers. We're always adding new providers.
How do I check if my bank or provider is supported?
The provider list in the app is always the most up to date.
- Go to the Feed (main dashboard).
- Tap Add.
- Tap Personal or Business.
- Search for your bank or provider.
If it appears, select it and follow the on-screen prompts to connect.
Which accounts usually can't be connected?
Open Banking covers current accounts, credit cards and many savings accounts. It doesn't cover most investment platforms or pensions, so these usually can't be connected to Emma.
Some providers also share only certain account types through Open Banking. For example, a provider may share your current account but not your savings account, even if you hold both with them.
How can I track accounts that can't be connected?
With an offline account, you can keep every account in Emma, including investments, pensions and savings that can't be connected, so your balances and net worth show your full financial picture. You can:
- Add any type of account, such as savings, investments, pensions, loans, property or vehicles.
- Update the balance whenever it changes.
- Add transactions yourself, or import them from a CSV file.
- Set up recurring transactions for regular payments, such as a loan repayment or a gym membership, so they're added on a schedule you choose.
Offline accounts are available on Emma Pro and Emma Ultimate.
Can I save and invest with Emma instead?
If you live in the UK, you can also save and invest with Emma directly:

- A Stocks and Shares ISA, a Junior Stocks and Shares ISA and a General Investment Account.
