My income is in the wrong category

If you work for a large company that provides goods or services, Emma may automatically categorise your income based on the company’s industry.

For example:

• If you work for Thames Water, your income may be categorised as Bills
• If you work for Avanti West Coast, it may be categorised as Transport
• If you work for Sky, it may be categorised as Entertainment

You can easily change this:

1. Select the transaction you want to update
2. Tap Category under the transaction name
3. Choose Income
4. Tap Check similar transactions to apply the change to other payments
5. Select the transactions you want to update
6. Tap Apply edit

After a few changes, Emma will learn from your updates. Typically, after 3 or 4 corrected transactions, future income from the same source will be categorised correctly.
