Rolling Budgets

This feature is available on Emma Pro and Emma Ultimate 🐻


Rolling Budgets allow you to transfer leftover and overspent budget allowances to your next budget period.


For example, you have a £200 monthly grocery budget but you only spent £160 this month. The remaining £40 will be added to your budget next month.


Alternatively, you have a £200 monthly grocery budget but you spent £250 this month. The overspent amount of £50 will be deducted from your budget next month.


To activate Rolling Budgets, follow these steps:


Setting up a Rolling Budget


  1. Go to the Feed tab
  2. Scroll down to Analytics section
  3. Tap on Budgeting (circle chart)
  4. Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen
  5. Tap Edit budget
  6. Turn on the Rolling Budgets toggle
  7. Tap Save


Rolling budget don't transfer overspent budget. If you spend more than your £200 grocery budget, the next month your budget will still be £200.
