What is a credit report?
A credit report is a record of your credit history, built from information held by sources such as banks, building societies, local authorities, and courts. If you're over 18 and have a bank account, or have ever taken out a loan, credit card, or mobile phone contract, you'll most likely have one.
Reports are used for things like responsible lending and fraud prevention, so it's worth checking yours regularly to stay on top of your financial health.
