Why are some transactions pending in my banking app and not in Emma?
You might notice that a transaction appears as "pending" in your banking app, but in Emma, it looks like it’s already settled. This isn’t a bug — it’s by design.
In Emma, if we don’t label some transactions as pending it means we’re confident they’ll go through. By treating them as settled, we allow you to edit, categorise, and see them reflected in your analytics and budgets right away.
Pending transactions in Emma are not editable and don’t count toward your budgeting or reports. So when we know a transaction is here to stay, we skip the “pending” label to give you a smoother experience managing your money.
