  • Change a transaction category
    To change a transaction category, follow these steps: Change transaction categories Select the transaction you'd like to change the category of Click on the Category button underneath the transaction name Select the category you want the transaction categorised as Click Select All if you want to apply this category to all transactions from the same merchant Click on Apply edit at the bottom of the screen Mass update transaction categories You can also upFew readers
  • Exclude a transaction
    Excluding a transaction will stop it from being counted towards your spending - If you don't want a transaction to be included in your analytics, exclude it πŸ›‘ This feature is particularly useful if you have made a transfer from one of your bank accounts to another and the transfer is now included in your Income.   • Add, edit or remove tags
    Tags are a quick way to group transactions instead of the using transactions categories. A quick and easy example would be creating tags like train flight and fuel for transactions under the category 'Transport'.   • Add or change transaction logos
    Have a transaction that isn't showing the right logo or any logo at all? It's likely that Emma can't match the merchant with a merchant in our database or has made an incorrect match. To change or add a logo, follow the steps below.     Emma lets you add receipts to your transactions so you can keep on top of your spending and track expenses!   • I can’t see historical transaction data
    When you first connect your bank account to Emma, we only sync approximately the previous 12 months of your transaction history from the bank account you connect. So if you connected your bank account on the 1st of January this year, it will only show data to the 1st of January of the previous year This does not mean Emma will only ever show one previous year of data as it only applies to newly connected accounts.   • Change the date of a transaction

  • Why are transfers counted as spending?
    When both accounts you transfer between are connected to Emma, the transactions will automatically be categorised as 'Excluded'. We do this so the transfers are not double-counted in your analytics. If both accounts are not connected in Emma, the transfers will not be automatically excluded. There may be cases where the transfers don’t get recognised and are not automatically excluded.   • Can I import transaction data into Emma using a CSV file?
    It is not possible to upload data to Emma using a CSV file or any other file types. If you would like to add transactions manually, you can use the offline accounts feature with Emma Pro or Ultimate.Few readers

  • Amend pending transactions
    Looking to amend a pending transaction? Currently in Emma, you can't amend pending transactions. When you make a purchase, there are multiple steps that go on behind the scenes between your bank and the merchant/retailer. Pending transactions are temporary and are created to display purchases you've made. They're pending, however, because your bank hasn't yet paid the merchant on your behalf.
