How can I pay my rent to report it with Emma?
Your rent doesn't need to be set up via Direct Debit to be reported with Emma.
It needs to be a direct payment to your landlord or property management agency, coming from a bank account that you have connected to Emma.
You cannot add payments you send to a housemate to split rent, or mortgage repayments, or payments not from your bank account.
Direct Debit
Standing Order
Manual payments - If you pay your rent manually each month, please ensure the transaction reference stays the same*
Your housemate
Salary sacrifice
Universal Credit
A savings account that can't be connected to Emma
Cash payments
When you set up Rent Reporting, past payments will NOT be reported to the credit referencing agencies. We will report your payments starting from the day you set up your Rent Reporting.
