Switch from App Store / Google Play to direct billing

if you have received some Emma credits for referring a friend to Emma, you will need to have a subscription direct with us to apply them! Please follow the instructions below to move from an App Store / Google Play subscription to using your Emma credits directly with us.


Part 1: Cancel your billing with Apple/ Google


  1. Open the Apple Settings app
  2. Tap your name
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select your Emma subscription
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription - you may need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button


  1. Open the Google Play app
  2. Tap your icon at the top right
  3. Tap Payments and Subscriptions
  4. Tap Subscriptions
  5. Select your Emma subscription
  6. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions


Part 2: Start your direct billing


*You will not be able to start a subscription direct with us until your subscription through Apple or Google has ended.


  1. Open the Emma App
  2. Go to the Feed (main dashboard) in the Emma app
  3. Select your profile in the top left
  4. Tap on your plan tile on the left (e.g. "Emma Free")
  5. Tap on Manage
  6. Tap on Upgrade
