What happens when I cancel my Emma subscription?
What happens when you cancel depends on whether your subscription is still within its free trial period or has already started billing.
If you cancel during your free trial
You’ll continue to have access to the premium features until the end of the trial period. You won’t be charged as long as you cancel before the trial ends.
If you cancel a paid subscription
Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Auto-renewal will be switched off, and you won’t be charged again unless you choose to resubscribe.
What happens to your account once your subscription ends
Once your Emma subscription ends, you’ll lose access to the premium features.
If you were on Emma Pro or Ultimate:
- Any transactions assigned to custom categories move back to their default categories
- Any Offline Accounts and their related transactions are removed
If you have any Emma Save Pots open, the interest rate switches to the Basic (Emma's free plan) rate once your subscription ends.
If you resubscribe later
If you resubscribe to Emma Plus, Pro or Ultimate, we'll restore your previous changes in the app, including custom categories, transaction changes, and Offline Accounts.
