What is Emma Autoinvest?
Emma's Autoinvest feature lets you automate deposits into your chosen funds each month. You set the amount to be collected monthly and decide how it's allocated across your chosen funds.
Autoinvest is set up per investment account, so you can have a separate Autoinvest for your Stocks and Shares ISA and your GIA. Each one works independently — they have their own amount and fund allocation.
These deposits are processed via Direct Debit using our third-party provider, Bottomline. You can access Bottomline's Privacy Policy here.
Your Autoinvest payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
How do I set up Autoinvest?
- Open the app.
- Tap the Invest tab.
- Select the account you'd like to set up Autoinvest on — your Stocks and Shares ISA or GIA.
- Tap Autoinvest and follow the on-screen steps.
How long does it take to set up Autoinvest?
Autoinvest works via Direct Debit, which usually takes between 7 and 10 days to be set up with your bank. We won't be able to process your Autoinvest collections during this time.
What's the minimum amount for Autoinvest?
The minimum Autoinvest amount is £100 per collection.
Is there a fee for Autoinvest?
Autoinvest is available on all Emma plans. If you're on Basic (Emma's free plan), a £0.50 fee applies per Autoinvest collection, regardless of how many funds it's split across. This fee doesn't apply on Plus, Pro, or Ultimate.
Can I pause Autoinvest?
Yes, you can pause Autoinvest in the app at any time:
- Open the app.
- Tap the Invest tab.
- Select the account that has Autoinvest active.
- Tap Autoinvest.
- Tap Pause Autoinvest.
- Choose to pause for a month, choose a specific date, or pause until you're ready to turn it back on.
Can I change the frequency of Autoinvest payments?
Unlike Autosave, Autoinvest payments can only be collected once a month.
Where is my money?
To track recent Autoinvest payments:
- Tap the Invest tab.
- Tap the investment account you've set up Autoinvest on.
- Tap Autoinvest.
- Tap See All next to Activity.
- Tap any entry to view the details of that payment — when the money was collected, when it was deposited, and how it was allocated.
Can I change the Autoinvest funding account?
To change your funding account, contact our support team. The new account must already be connected in the app and be a valid UK current account in your name. Once we've verified it, we'll link it as your funding account for Save and Invest, and you'll just need to set up a new Direct Debit mandate in the app yourself.
