Do the Emma Pots generate interest?

Emma Pots are only available to UK-based customers.

If you open a Super Pot, you'll earn interest on your money, and the rate depends on your Emma subscription plan:

Basic Plan - 1.7% AER
Emma Plus - 2.11% AER
Emma Pro - 2.97% AER
Emma Ultimate - 3.24% AER

If you open an Easy Access Pot, you'll earn interest on your money, and the rate depends on your Emma subscription plan:

Basic Plan - 1.67% AER
Emma Plus - 2.08% AER
Emma Pro - 2.93% AER
Emma Ultimate - 3.2% AER

If you open a 45 Day Notice Pot, you'll also earn interest on your money, and the rate depends on your Emma subscription plan:

Basic Plan - 2.53% AER
Emma Plus - 3.67% AER
Emma Pro - 3.67% AER
Emma Ultimate - 3.67% AER

When will I start earning interest?

You'll start earning interest no later than the first business day after the bank receives your money.

For example, if you send money on Monday but the bank receives it on Wednesday, you'll begin earning interest no later than Thursday. If you send money on a day the bank is closed, it'll be received on the next working day, and interest will start from there.

When is interest paid?

Interest is paid daily from Tuesday to Saturday. Your Tuesday payment will be slightly higher, since it includes interest earned on Sunday and Monday.

What happens if I withdraw from a 45 Day Notice Pot?

If you request a withdrawal from a 45 Day Notice Pot, you'll continue earning interest on the amount during the notice period, right up until the money becomes available to withdraw.
