    Your detected rent payments are not reported to the credit referencing agencies until the following month.     Our Rent Reporting feature tracks your rent payments based on: the amount, the reference, the bank accounts, and the date of payment. If any of these elements change, it can mean that your rent payments won't be detected and reported.   • How can I pay my rent to report it with Emma?
    Your rent doesn't need to be set up via Direct Debit to be reported with Emma. It needs to be a direct payment to your landlord or property management agency, coming from a bank account that you have connected to Emma. You cannot add payments you send to a housemate to split rent, or mortgage repayments, or payments not from your bank account.   • My rent is paid from my Universal Credit
    If your rent is paid directly from your Universal Credit payments, you won't be able to report it through Emma. Emma detects the rent transactions in your linked bank accounts to report them to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.     No, you can't report your mortgage via our Rent Reporting feature. If you pay rent and a mortgage, you don't need to report your rent with us.   • Can I report rent paid from a joint account?
    Yes, rent paid from a joint account can be reported through Emma. If your rent contract is in both your and the joint holder's names, you can both report your rent. You will need to both have a premium Emma subscription to report you rent under both your names. If just one person is reporting rent via Emma this will only show in their credit history, not both renters'.
